How often should fire alarms be serviced ?
Safety for work recommend your Fire Alarm System is serviced a minimum of every 6 months. All our inspectors are BAFE qualified. (BAFE is the independent third party registration body for the fire protection industry)

In addition, you should be testing your system on a weekly basis and completing all details in your Log Book.

What do clients receive after a fire alarm inspection?
Safety for Work will provide a full fire alarm inspection report including any recommendations for changes or improvements needed.

What is involved with fire alarm servicing?

  • Operationally test all devices connected with the alarm system such as
  • Control and indicating equipment; including fault indicators
  • Sounder and strobe devices where applicable
  • Examination of power supply units/batteries
  • Examine the system log book, carry out preliminary investigation into any unacceptable rate of false alarms and make recommendations.
  • Carry out visual inspection of manual call points and automatic detection alarm devices
  • Issue a maintenance certificate
  • Report any outstanding issues and recommendations to the client.
