Disability Access Audits

Disability Access Audits

Disability Discrimination Act has been passed to ensure an end to discrimination faced by disabled persons in the United Kingdom.

Since December 1996 it has been illegal for providers of goods, facilities and service to treat a disabled person less favourably for any reason relating to their disability. An audit identifies problems relating to disabled access in to the place of work and the hazards a disabled persons may encounter during their working day.

Safety for Work can provide:

  • Disabled access audit
  • Assistance with the preparation of disability access plans
  • Advice and compilation of formal policy and procedures relating to disability
  • Fire evacuation procedures relating to disabled employees and visitors

A DDA audit covers all areas relating to the workplace.

At Safety for Work, we realise that DDA access audits have to find an even balance between the required regulations and your needs.

We never lose sight of the need for a common sense approach to ‘Reasonable Adjustment’ – after all you have a core business to run without adding unnecessarily to your overheads!
